An environmentally conscious celebration of love
Megan and Rennick first crossed paths while studying marine science at university, and their love story has been deeply tied to the ocean ever since. With Megan’s research focusing on plastic pollution and both of them passionate about protecting the natural world, it was only fitting that their wedding reflected their values and love for the outdoors.
Nature plays a huge role in their lives — from camping trips and bush walks to simple moments spent by the beach. It was no surprise that their friends shared the same adventurous spirit. In fact, half of the guests arrived with swags and tents, ready to camp out under the stars at the cliff-top venue.
The styling was simple, sustainable, and perfectly in tune with the setting. Native flowers, driftwood collected from the beach, vintage baskets, and delicate parasols created an atmosphere that was both beautiful and environmentally conscious — a reflection of Megan and Rennick’s values, and the heartfelt celebration they wanted to share with their closest people.

The wedding location was as wild and raw as it gets: a remote headland overlooking the ocean. With no facilities onsite, the couple brought in everything themselves — from drop toilets to a marquee that became the perfect dance floor under the night sky.
We started the afternoon with some relaxed photos of the bridal party and guests at the ceremony spot, complete with a champagne tower that kicked off the celebrations in style. After giving everyone time to unwind and mingle, we wandered down to the beach for romantic sunset portraits of Megan and Rennick — a quiet, heartfelt moment before heading back to join their loved ones.
As the sun dipped, the marquee came alive with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and a first dance that carried well into the night. After a long day of celebrating, I was faced with a three-hour drive home, but decided to roll out my swag alongside the guests instead. That choice meant I was able to capture one of my favourite frames of the day: a star-filled sky above the celebration of love.
